What you would do
- Collect, prepare and test construction material samples
- Conduct soil tests such as moisture content, sieve analysis, Atterberg limits, Proctor and CBR
- Perform concrete tests including slump, sampling, cube preparation and compressive strength tests
- Carry out asphalt and aggregate tests including gradation, density, bitumen content and Marshall/mix-design tests
- Conduct field density and other on-site material tests
- Operate, clean, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and record results accurately
What they are asking for
- OND / HND / BSc in Civil Engineering, Geology, Building Technology, Materials Engineering or related field
- Practical experience in soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate and construction material testing
- Knowledge of testing procedures and standards for relevant materials
- Ability to operate laboratory and field-testing equipment
- Good documentation and reporting skills
- Willingness to work in both laboratory and construction sites
