Compliance Consultant
About this role
A Compliance Consultant is sought to support Malaria Consortium’s Programmes Compliance Unit in Abuja, providing assurance on compliance with donor and MC policies, reviewing project systems and ITN campaign activities, and strengthening internal controls.
What you would do
- Conduct routine and periodic compliance reviews across country office projects
- Review ITN campaign planning, preparation, implementation and close-out for adherence to guidelines and donor/WHO requirements
- Review state-level campaign procurements against approved spending limits and procedures
- Identify risk areas and weaknesses and provide recommendations to improve systems
- Carry out compliance spot checks during and after campaigns
- Produce reports including ITN Campaign Compliance Reviews, risk assessments, control improvements and monthly compliance reviews
What they are asking for
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in accounting, finance, auditing, business administration or related field
- Professional qualification in Accounting, Auditing, Compliance or Risk Management
- Strong understanding of internal control, compliance monitoring and risk management principles
- Experience with donor-funded programmes and grants
- Minimum of five years relevant professional experience including at least three years in internal audit, compliance, risk management or assurance
- Excellent analytical and written communication skills
