Compliance Consultant

About this role

A Compliance Technical Consultant is needed to support Malaria Consortium Nigeria’s Programmes Compliance Unit. The role focuses on evaluating project systems and procedures, ensuring donor and organisation policy compliance, and improving internal controls across country office projects and ITN campaign activities in Nigeria.

What you would do

• Conduct compliance reviews of ITN campaign planning, preparation, implementation and close-out.
• Identify risk areas and control weaknesses and provide recommendations to strengthen systems and processes.
• Carry out compliance spot checks during campaign implementation, closure and post-campaign activities.
• Conduct commodity audits and spot checks on campaign commodities before, during and after distribution.
• Review state-level procurements for adherence to approved spending limits and procedures.
• Support routine and periodic compliance reviews and help strengthen compliance culture and accountability across projects.

What they are asking for

• Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma in accounting, finance, auditing, business administration, programme management or a related field.
• Professional qualification in Accounting, Auditing, Compliance or Risk Management.
• Minimum of five years' relevant professional experience including at least three years in internal audit, compliance, risk management or assurance functions.
• Experience with donor-funded programmes and grants; understanding of internal control, compliance monitoring and risk management.
• Excellent analytical, report writing and communication skills.
