Community Moderator (External Contractor) - UAE

About this role

The role is for a Community Moderator who will support Udacity’s scholarship communities as an external contractor. The job focuses on keeping the online student community healthy and engaging, and helping to meet community goals. Moderation duties require daily monitoring of the forum, including weekends, with a typical cadence of at least twice daily. The position is based in the UAE and involves mostly online work with a part-time schedule alongside another job.

What you would do

• Provide non-technical support to students within the community
• Moderate the online platform and enforce community guidelines on violation posts
• Assist the Community Manager with performance summaries when asked
• Support forum activities and brainstorm ways to boost member engagement
• Attend regular online meetings with Udacity representatives
• Participate in group discussions with Udacity representatives
• Ensure members have a fun and engaging learning environment
