Community Health Worker Supervisor

About this role

A role to supervise and coordinate Community Health Workers and lead community engagement to improve access to routine immunisation for children under five in hard-to-reach areas of Borno State. It targets candidates with supervisory experience in humanitarian settings who are respected in their communities.

What you would do

• Access hard-to-reach locations to assess routine immunisation coverage and identify reasons for low uptake.
• Strengthen collaboration with community leaders, authorities and religious figures to facilitate access for vaccinators and CHWs.
• Lead focus group discussions and organise health awareness sessions for clear, age-appropriate messaging.
• Contribute to defining and updating the CHW strategy, targets and activities.
• Support assessment of target group health knowledge and adapt activities to local culture and context.
• Supervise, train and coach CHWs, manage daily activities and ensure quality and reporting.

• Degree or studies in Social Work, Health Promotion or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in humanitarian settings, preferably in fragile environments.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Internet).
• Experience with donor compliance and reporting.
