Communications Officer, STRIDE Program (Remote)

About this role
ACEGID is seeking a Communications Officer for the STRIDE programme. The role is remote-based in Nigeria with periodic travel to Ede, Osun State, on a contract renewable annually and reporting to the IGH Communications Lead. The officer will develop STRIDE’s communications strategy, manage branding and communications products, and coordinate with donor and partner teams to articulate the programme’s impact.
What you would do
- Lead the development and implementation of STRIDE’s communications strategy.
- Establish and manage STRIDE’s brand identity, including guidelines and key messages.
- Oversee the design, launch and ongoing management of the STRIDE website.
- Produce high-quality communications products, including reports, briefs, digital content and storytelling assets.
- Act as the primary liaison with the IGH and Mastercard Foundation communications teams.
- Advise STRIDE leadership on strategic communications and opportunities to raise visibility.
What they are asking for
- Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, International Development, Public Health or related field.
- Seven or more years of progressively responsible experience leading communications for complex, multi-partner programmes or organisations, preferably in global health, education, research, or international development.
- Demonstrated experience developing and leading communications strategies, including brand development, digital communications and external engagement.
- Proven experience overseeing design, launch and management of organisational or programme websites and digital platforms.
- Experience working with donor-funded programmes and aligning communications with donor requirements and approval processes.
- Experience coordinating communications across multiple partners and stakeholders, including senior leadership and external organisations.
