Commercial Tender and Account Operations Manager (Male)
About this role
A full-time role based in Abuja for a Commercial Tender and Account Operations Manager. The role combines accounting expertise with commercial judgement to manage tender submissions, financial documentation, contract administration, invoicing and payment follow-up to support profitability. The candidate will oversee tender preparation, commercial accounting, pricing, contract administration and customer account operations for the company’s engineering and industrial services. What you would do
- Manage tender and commercial bid processes to ensure accurate, compliant and timely submissions
- Analyse costs, labour, logistics, overheads, taxes and margins to support competitive bids
- Coordinate with technical, procurement and operations teams for quotes and inputs
- Review RFQs, RFPs and other opportunities and maintain a tender register
- Prepare commercial proposals, pricing schedules, BOQs and related documents
- Reconcile customer and supplier accounts, invoices and purchase orders
- Prepare quotations, pro forma invoices, payment schedules and account statements
- Monitor receivables and ensure timely payment approvals and compliance with tax requirements
- Review customer contracts against quotations and identify commercial or contractual risks
- Track contract execution, milestones, invoicing and handover documentation and generate reports
What they are asking for
- HND or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Experience in accounting, tender management, commercial operations or contract administration
- Strong analytical, numerical and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of VAT, withholding tax, POs, invoicing and receivables management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software or ERP
- Experience working with multinational engineering or oil and gas service providers is desirable
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
- Currently residing in Abuja, available to work from the Abuja office
- Professional accounting certification (ICAN, ACCA or equivalent) is an added advantage
- Excellent communication and professional discipline
