Commercial Manager
About this role
Collection Developments is seeking a Commercial Manager to oversee the commercial and contractual management of its construction projects. The role covers design and build contracts, budgeting, subcontract administration and risk management, and is aimed at professionals with substantial Nigerian project experience.
What you would do
- Administer the Design and Build contract with the client.
- Issue variations under the contract.
- Own the project budget and cost-to-complete forecast.
- Maintain the project variation register.
- Review subcontractor payment applications.
- Lead the final account process with the client and subcontractors.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- NIQS or RICS membership preferred.
- Minimum 14 years of commercial experience in construction, including at least 5 years as a Commercial Manager on major Nigerian projects.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian construction contract law and standard forms of contract.
- Experience administering Design and Build contracts and managing multi-package subcontract programmes.
- Excellent written communication and collaborative approach with subcontractors.
