Taghini Foods, a traditional poultry processing company based in Ibadan, is seeking a Commercial Broiler Farm Officer for its operations in Oyo. The role involves day-to-day management and supervision of commercial broiler production, ensuring flock health, growth, feed efficiency, biosecurity, and achievement of targets. The officer will monitor birds from placement to harvest, maintain records, supervise farm attendants, and escalate deviations from standards. Key duties cover flock, feed, biosecurity, water, litter, health, vaccination, mortality, and performance reporting. Suitable candidates will have relevant poultry production experience and a related qualification, with the level (Junior or Senior) determined by experience.

What you would do

• Manage flock from placement to harvest
• Monitor health, growth, and mortality
• Oversee feed and water management
• Maintain biosecurity practices
• Manage litter and environmental conditions
• Coordinate vaccination and health procedures
• Record body weight, feed conversion and performance
• Supervise farm attendants
• Prepare and maintain farm records and reports
• Escalate deviations from production standards

What they are asking for

• BSc/HND/ND in Animal Science, Animal Production, Agriculture, Agricultural Technology or related field
• Practical knowledge of commercial broiler production
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience for Senior Commercial Broiler Farm Officer
• Minimum 1 year relevant experience for Junior Commercial Broiler Farm Officer
• Experience in large-scale commercial poultry operations is an advantage
• Relevant poultry production certification/training is a plus
• Candidates may be considered for Officer I/Senior Farm Officer based on experience
