Collections and Recovery Lead
About this role
A Collections and Recovery Lead is sought to manage a team of Collections and Recovery Specialists, drive recovery strategies, and oversee collections operations across a state for a Lagos-based role. The position targets someone with leadership, analytics and debt recovery experience to meet portfolio quality and recovery targets.
What you would do
- Manage the Collections and Recovery Specialists across the assigned state
- Develop and implement recovery strategies for overdue accounts
- Monitor repayment performance by area and transport park
- Conduct regular collection audits and ensure compliance with processes
- Investigate anomalies and potential fraud risks with relevant teams
- Escalate and coordinate resolution of high-risk or complex cases and report progress

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Admin, Economics, Accounting or related field
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role
- Experience in debt collection, recovery or financial services
- Ability to investigate anomalies and identify fraud risks
- Willingness to travel within the assigned state
- Strong analytical, communication, negotiation and people management skills
