About this role
The Dangote Group in Ogun is looking for a CNG Technical Engineer to manage the installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of CNG systems and equipment. The role involves troubleshooting, technical support, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. It is suitable for engineers with a degree in mechanical, electrical or mechatronics engineering and at least five years of CNG or related experience.
What you would do
- Design, review, install, commission and maintain CNG systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control-system faults.
- Monitor the performance of CNG components such as compressors, dispensers, storage cascades, dryers, valves and pipelines.
- Develop preventive and corrective maintenance plans for CNG facilities.
- Conduct inspections, testing and condition assessments of CNG equipment.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, technicians and other engineering teams.

- Bachelor's degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in CNG, natural gas, oil & gas, industrial gas or related engineering operations.
- Practical knowledge of CNG compression, storage, dispensing, piping, instrumentation and control systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, P&IDs, equipment manuals and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of applicable CNG, pressure-vessel, gas-pipeline and HSE requirements.
