Clearing and Settlement Specialist

About this role

Unified Payment Services Limited seeks a Clearing and Settlement Specialist to manage clearing and settlement operations for payment systems (Visa, MasterCard, Union Pay, Amex, etc.) and provide back-office support for internal and external customers in Lagos. The role requires at least 1 year post-NYSC and a BSc or HND in Accounting, Statistics, Economics or Mathematics; professional accounting membership is an added advantage.

What you would do

• Oversee clearing and back-office operations for supported payment systems.
• Process and clear transactions and manage end-of-day processing.
• Reconcile all cleared transactions and manage service levels with internal and external customers.
• Conduct daily processing across TWCMS, Unified settler and TWI, clearing POS transactions to Visa, MasterCard, Amex and CUP.
• Host and deliver daily settlement and chargeback reports and manage Base11, VSS and MIGSS files.
• Provide second-level support for settlement issues and coordinate transaction flow across touchpoints.

What they are asking for

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Statistics, Economics or Mathematics.
• Professional membership of ICAN/CIMA/ACCA or similar is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 1 year post-NYSC experience.
• High degree of accuracy with strong deductive reasoning and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence and demonstrate leadership.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
