Claims Executive
About this role
A Claims Executive at Guinea Insurance Plc in Lagos will assess claims, interpret policy terms and determine liability, while providing customer service and preparing regular claims reports. The role targets candidates with experience in insurance claims and relevant certifications or degrees.
What you would do
- Interpret policy wording and analyse claims to determine the companys liability
- Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly claims reports
- Follow up for title documents, recoveries and salvaged items from third parties or insureds
- Review loss adjusters reports and collate opinions for co-insurers where applicable
- Communicate offers within 24 hours after approvals
- Register claim notifications, open claim files and allocate claim numbers
What they are asking for
- First degree in any discipline
- 3–5 years of progressive work experience as an Insurance Claims Executive
- CIIN certification is an added advantage
- Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen
- Good claims judgement, time management and communication skills
- Experience in underwriting or related areas is desirable (optional interpretation)
