Civil Engineer
About this role
A Civil Engineer is needed in Lagos to design reinforced concrete foundations, substructures and civil works for industrial, commercial and steel building projects. The role involves engineering design, structural analysis, quantity take-offs, BOQ/BOM preparation and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.
What you would do
- Design foundations and various footing types based on loads and geotechnical data
- Prepare construction specifications, sketches and engineering mark-ups
- Perform structural analysis and produce calculations and technical reports
- Prepare BOQ, BOM and material take-offs for all Civil Works
- Coordinate with Architects, MEP and HVAC to ensure integrated designs
- Review drawings for coordination and support multidisciplinary interfaces
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 7 years of proven experience in reinforced concrete and civil works design
- Experience in industrial, commercial, warehouse or factory projects
- Proven ability to independently perform structural analysis and RC design
- Familiarity with international design standards (ACI, Eurocode, etc.) and BIM workflows
- Strong coordination with MEP, architectural and steel teams
