About this role

Position is Civil Construction Service III with Scruples Resources in Lagos. It is for applicants with relevant civil construction experience. The role involves performing civil works, reading drawings and instructions, using tools safely, checking dimensions and materials, coordinating with other trades and reporting defects or safety concerns.

What you would do

• Carry out civil works such as excavation, concreting, formwork, reinforcement, blockwork or general construction support.
• Interpret drawings, method statements and supervisor instructions and apply them on site.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and keep work areas clean and safe.
• Verify dimensions, levels, materials and workmanship meet requirements.
• Coordinate with other trades to avoid clashes and maintain progress.
• Report defects, material shortages, unsafe conditions and progress to the supervisor.

• Relevant civil construction experience.
• Ability to interpret basic drawings and measurements.
• Knowledge of construction tools and safe work practices.
• Physical ability and teamwork.
• A relevant degree, HND, OND, trade qualification or recognised professional certification.
• Preferably experience in industrial, construction, oil & gas, marine or project settings; client-, site- or standard-specific certifications will be provided where required.
