About this role
The role is for a Chinese Translator within SANY Nigeria's Finance Team in Abuja. What you would do
- Provide Mandarin-English interpretation during meetings and business engagements.
- Translate financial reports, correspondence, presentations, policies, and other documents between Chinese and English.
- Support communication between the Chinese Finance Manager and local teams.
- Assist with day-to-day coordination and follow-up on finance-related activities.
- Facilitate effective communication across multicultural teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of translated information.
- Assist with administrative and operational tasks within the Finance Department as required.

- Bachelor's Degree, HND or equivalent in Chinese Language, Linguistics, Translation, International Relations, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
- Proven proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English, both written and spoken.
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a Chinese Translator, Interpreter or in a similar bilingual role.
- Experience with Chinese companies, Chinese expatriates, multinational organisations, or finance/business support functions is an added advantage.
- Strong interpretation and translation skills with high accuracy and professionalism.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and develop within a finance-focused business environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is an advantage.
