The role is for a Chinese Chef to work in Ilorin, Kwara, on a full-time basis. What you would do
- Store and handle ingredients to keep them fresh and prevent spoilage
- Minimise food wastage and optimise ingredient use
- Ensure consistency in taste, portion sizes and presentation of dishes
- Prepare ingredients, sauces and seasonings for daily cooking
- Maintain proper use, cleaning and upkeep of equipment and utensils
- Monitor kitchen supplies and report shortages
- Follow recipes and suggest menu improvements where appropriate
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to serve meals on time
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety in the kitchen
- Cook a variety of Chinese dishes including fried rice, noodles, stir-fries, soups, dumplings and related meals
