Chief Technology Officer (Technology & Digital Channels)

About this role

This role is for a Chief Technology Officer to lead the bank’s technology and digital transformation, ensuring the technology infrastructure, core banking platform and digital channels are secure, scalable and reliable. The person will guide strategy, oversee delivery of digital banking initiatives and work with leadership to improve customer experience, efficiency and growth while meeting regulatory and cybersecurity requirements. Location: Lagos.

What you would do

• Develop the bank's technology strategy aligned with business objectives
• Own the core banking platform and digital channels, including uptime, performance, upgrades and integration
• Establish technology standards, governance frameworks and service-level agreements; manage vendor contracts
• Lead cybersecurity and information security, including risk assessment and incident response
• Develop and maintain the business continuity and disaster recovery framework; conduct tests
• Build and lead a high-performing technology team with clear objectives and KPIs

What they are asking for

• BSc or BEng in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field
• Professional certifications such as CISM, CISSP, CISA, ITIL, PMP or cloud/technology certifications desirable
• MBA, MSc or postgraduate qualification in Technology Management, Information Systems or Business Administration is an advantage
• Minimum of 10 years' relevant technology experience, including at least 4 years in banking/fintech and at least 3 years in senior leadership
• Demonstrable experience implementing, managing or supporting a core banking platform
• Experience with digital banking channels, payment integrations, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, data platforms and vendor management
