Chief Security Officer

About this role

The Chief Security Officer will lead the hotel's security and safety operations, developing and implementing the overall security programme to protect guests, staff, assets and premises. The role includes maintaining strong relationships with government security agencies and local law enforcement. It is suited to an experienced security professional with supervisory or management background, preferably in hotel or hospitality security.

What you would do

• Develop, implement, and review the hotel's security policies, procedures and standards.
• Ensure 24-hour security coverage by leading and supervising the security team.
• Develop duty rosters and deploy security personnel across shifts and locations.
• Conduct regular security risk assessments and implement measures for critical areas.
• Monitor and manage security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms) and control entry to restricted areas.
• Coordinate security for VIP guests and events; investigate incidents and liaise with law enforcement and emergency services.

What they are asking for

• HND or BSc in Security Management, Criminology, Public Administration or related discipline.
• 7–10 years' relevant security experience, preferably with supervisory/management background.
• Prior experience as Chief Security Officer, Security Manager, Head of Security, or equivalent (highly desirable).
• Experience in hotel, hospitality, corporate, commercial or high-value facility security.
• Strong knowledge of security operations, risk assessment, access control, surveillance, incident management, and emergency response.
• Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with Police, Fire Service, Civil Defence and other government security agencies; strong leadership and communication skills.
