Chief Security Officer

ADKAN Services Nigeria Limited is seeking an experienced Chief Security Officer to lead the organisation's security operations, protecting personnel, assets and sites while developing security policies and risk-management plans. What you would do

• Develop, implement and continuously review the security strategy, policies and risk-management measures.
• Lead security personnel and contractors, providing strategic direction and supervision.
• Conduct regular risk assessments of offices, sites, warehouses and other facilities and implement controls.
• Establish and enforce access-control procedures for employees, contractors, visitors, vehicles and vendors.
• Coordinate security operations across multiple locations and monitor coverage and security intelligence.
• Investigate security incidents, breaches, losses or complaints and prepare detailed management reports; oversee emergency response and crisis-management plans.

What they are asking for

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Security Management, Criminology, Psychology, Sociology, Law, Public Administration or related discipline.
• Minimum of 15 years' relevant security management experience, including at least 10 years in a senior security leadership role.
• Experience managing security operations for a large organisation, construction company, real estate development, corporate environment or multi-site operation; military, police, DSS, NSCDC backgrounds are highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of security risk assessment, threat management, investigations, surveillance, access control and emergency response.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate large teams of security personnel; strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills; calm under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and security-management systems; good report writing and documentation; high level of integrity and confidentiality.
