Chief Information Officer - Western Africa
About this role
The role is Chief Information Officer for West Africa, based in Lagos, reporting to Network International. You will develop and deploy the technology strategy and architecture for West Africa, lead IT delivery and service in the region, and work with stakeholders to accelerate product and service delivery. The position requires managing the West Africa IT department, handling day-to-day operations, service delivery, people management and customer delivery, and collaborating with vendor partners and the West Africa Management Team. What you would do
- Lead and direct the IT team in West Africa and be part of the Management Team.
- Manage IT delivery projects and programs, designing and deploying new IT systems and services.
- Ensure SLAs and KPIs are met for IT services provided to clients 24x7.
- Lead the Service Delivery Team and act as escalation point for incidents and problems.
- Oversee IT assets, ensuring ROI through availability, quality, performance and capacity management.
- Monitor IT system performance and recommend improvements to infrastructure.
- Plan and forecast West Africa Capex, Opex and headcount budgets.
- Manage MIS and presentations for project governance to leadership, regulators and clients.
- Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture and processes.
- Assess vendors and develop test strategies for hardware and software.

- BSc or BA in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- MBA or relevant graduate degree is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience as CIO or in a similar leadership role.
