Chief Financial Officer

About this role

The role is for a Chief Financial Officer to lead Megastar Technical & Construction Company's Finance & Accounts function in Lagos. It targets an experienced, strategic financial leader with construction industry background who has prior CFO experience and has worked in a board-led organisation. What you would do

• Direct and oversee all financial activities of the organisation.
• Provide strategic financial leadership to management and the Board.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy.
• Manage liquidity, cash flow, working capital, and other financial resources.
• Oversee financial management and reporting for construction projects.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, commitments, variations, revenue, profitability, and cash flow.
• Analyse project financial performance and provide reports and recommendations.
• Develop and monitor accounting policies, procedures and controls.
• Ensure IFRS-compliant and statutory financial reporting.
• Oversee tax planning, compliance, audit activities, and risk management.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN or ACCA (mandatory).
• Master's degree or MBA (advantageous).
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with senior finance leadership.

• At least 5 years in the construction industry (mandatory).
• Experience in a Board-led organisation (mandatory).
• Experience managing financial aspects of multiple construction projects.
