About this role
A Chief Engineer is needed to lead the Engine Department on a marine vessel, ensuring safe operation, maintenance and repair of propulsion, auxiliary and electrical systems while complying with SMS, ISM and regulatory requirements. The role suits experienced marine engineers with leadership experience in ship maintenance and vessel surveys.
What you would do
- Oversee operation of main propulsion, auxiliary equipment and onboard machinery
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems
- Liaise with the Master/Captain on operations, safety and technical matters
- Maintain maintenance records, inventories and technical documentation
- Support vessel surveys and ensure compliance with flag-state and class requirements
- Lead and develop engineering personnel and supervise watchkeeping and duties

- 10–15 years of engineering experience in marine or oil and gas sectors
- At least 8 years in engineering team or management role
- University Degree or HND in Marine/Mechanical Engineering or related field
