What you would do

• Conduct routine and specialised chemical analyses on raw materials, intermediates and finished products.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses to ensure specifications are met.
• Monitor and assess product quality through sampling and testing.
• Collaborate with production teams to address deviations and suggest corrective actions.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as spectrophotometers, chromatographs and titrators.
• Ensure calibration and proper functioning of equipment to obtain accurate results.
• Record and interpret data in laboratory notebooks and electronic records.
• Prepare reports summarising analysis results and any deviations from specifications.
• Adhere to safety protocols and participate in safety procedures.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and collaborate on implementation.
