Chef de Partie
About this role
A Chef de Partie is needed to run a designated kitchen station at Panthera Restaurant in Maitama, Abuja, reporting to the Head Chef and Sous Chef and supervising junior staff. The role focuses on delivering five-star standard dishes and maintaining station readiness, stock, and hygiene in a fast-paced fine-dining environment.
What you would do
- Manage and stock a designated kitchen station for service
- Monitor stock levels and place internal orders for fresh produce and dry goods
- Ensure all dishes meet five-star standards of temperature, seasoning, texture and presentation
- Inspect incoming ingredients for quality and reject substandard items
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff and delegate prep tasks
- Assist in menu changes, tastings, and VIP requests and practise waste management to minimise spoilage
What they are asking for
- HND or First Degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Food Science or related field
- Experience in a fast-paced kitchen and leadership/mentoring abilities
- High standard of personal hygiene and grooming
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards
- Strong cooking skills across multiple cuisines with good seasoning, texture and presentation
- Proven experience as Chef de Partie or Demi-Chef de Partie in fine-dining or high-end kitchens
