About this role
The Place in Edo is seeking a cook or caterer with experience in local Benin cuisine, preferably from an existing buka or restaurant. The role involves developing Benin-flavoured recipes, sourcing ingredients locally, and supporting product quality and staff training.
What you would do
- Determine recipes that align with Benin taste preferences
- Carry out experiments pertaining to Benin local foods to be rolled out
- Train cooks and supervisors on new food products rolled out
- Continuously study market and conduct competitor research
- Observe product quality control at the branch
- Data collection and product performance tracking
