About this role
A full-time Chef is sought in Enugu to manage daily kitchen operations and prepare a range of local and continental meals while upholding taste, presentation, hygiene and food safety standards. The role targets experienced chefs with leadership abilities who can work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
What you would do
- Plan menus, recipes and daily kitchen activities
- Prepare and oversee both local and continental dishes
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate duties
- Monitor supplies, inventory and portion control to minimise waste
- Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene and safety
- Ensure smooth kitchen operations
What they are asking for
- Minimum of SSCE/OND
- Culinary training or certification is an added advantage
- 2–3 years’ experience as a Chef in a restaurant, hotel, lounge or similar
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian/local and continental dishes
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, storage and kitchen operations
- Strong leadership, organisational, time-management and communication skills
