About this role
A full-time Chef is needed in Enugu to manage daily kitchen operations and prepare a range of local and continental dishes, ensuring quality, hygiene and safety. The role targets experienced cooks with leadership abilities who can work under pressure.
What you would do
- Plan menus, recipes and daily kitchen activities
- Prepare and oversee local and continental dishes
- Maintain standards of food quality, hygiene, sanitation and kitchen safety
- Supervise kitchen assistants and ensure smooth operations
- Monitor food supplies, inventory and portion control
- Minimise food wastage
What they are asking for
- 2–3 years’ proven chef experience in a restaurant, hotel, lounge or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian/local and continental dishes
- Minimum of SSCE/OND; culinary training or certification is a plus
- Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, storage and kitchen operations
- Strong leadership, organisational, time-management and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
