About this role
A male chef is needed to lead food preparation and kitchen operations for staff, management and guests at Proforce Limited in Ogun. The role focuses on preparing high-quality meals while upholding hygiene, safety and kitchen organisation. The candidate will plan menus, manage ingredients and inventory, and ensure meals are ready and served on schedule. Responsibilities include cooking local and continental dishes, maintaining food quality and presentation, controlling portions and reducing waste, storing and handling food properly, keeping the kitchen and equipment clean, complying with food safety standards, and coordinating with kitchen assistants and other staff. The chef may also prepare meals for company guests when required and report equipment faults or maintenance needs.
What you would do
- Prepare and cook a variety of local and continental meals
- Plan daily menus and ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule
- Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene and presentation
- Manage kitchen ingredients, supplies and inventory
- Monitor portion sizes and minimise food wastage
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food items
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, utensils, equipment and work areas
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Monitor equipment and report faults or maintenance needs
- Coordinate with kitchen assistants and support staff

- Minimum of 3 years proven experience as a chef
- Experience in corporate, industrial, hotel or similar environments preferred
- Certificate or qualification in Catering, Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management or related field is an advantage

- Ability to prepare meals for large numbers
