About this role
The role is a Checker position with Emmanuel Bakeries Limited in Kogi, a distributor dealing in fast-moving consumer goods and non-consumable products. The job involves verifying quantities, conditions and descriptions of goods at receipt, loading and dispatch to ensure accuracy.
What you would do
- Verify the quantity and condition of goods received from suppliers, warehouses, and other locations.
- Check all products before they are loaded onto vehicles for delivery or distribution.
- Confirm that the quantity and description of goods loaded match invoices, waybills, stock sheets, or dispatch documents.
- Check goods being dispatched to customers and ensure correct products and quantities are supplied.
- Conduct physical counting of products during loading, unloading, dispatch, and stock-taking activities.
- Identify shortages, excesses, damaged products, expired products, or discrepancies and report them to the supervisor.
What they are asking for
- Minimum of HND/BSc.
- Experience as a Checker, Store Assistant, Warehouse Assistant, Stock Controller, Inventory Assistant, or similar FMCG role will be an advantage.
- Good numerical and counting skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
