Cement Plant Process Engineer
About this role
A Cement Plant Process Engineer is needed to optimise the entire cement production process, including crushing, raw meal grinding, clinker calcination and cement grinding. The role involves monitoring operations, diagnosing and solving process issues, reducing losses and equipment failures, and developing standards and guidelines for production. The engineer will work with a Chinese technical team on production debugging, process upgrades, quality control and trial production of new products, and will train process operators and assess their performance.Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Cement Process or related fields, with at least three years of cement plant process engineering experience and familiarity with a full cement production line. Proficiency in English for technical communication is required, basic spoken Chinese is preferred, and knowledge of safety management and on-site emergency handling is expected.
What you would do
- Monitor the production process and operation status.
- Identify and solve process abnormalities to reduce losses and equipment failures.
- Formulate and implement production process standards, operation guidelines and improvement plans.
- Supervise on-site implementation of process improvements.
- Collaborate with the Chinese technical team on debugging, upgrades, quality control and trial production of new products.
- Provide technical training to process operators and conduct assessments.
- Guide operators in standardised operations.
