Category Finance Manager - Beverage & Biscuit

About this role

The Category Finance Manager for West Africa oversees the full category P&L and acts as the strategic financial adviser to category and marketing leadership within Mondelez Nigeria, focusing on beverage and snacks. The role requires senior, hands-on finance expertise in FP&A, business partnering and driving insights to shape category strategy and investments.

What you would do

• Own the end-to-end category P&L including reporting, forecasting and variance management.
• Lead category strategy planning, annual contract development and long-range planning.
• Analyze performance to generate actionable insights for senior leadership decisions.
• Prepare robust business cases for investments, innovations and cost initiatives.
• Partner with Marketing on brand investment, pricing and ROI; assess promotional effectiveness.
• Lead cross-functional projects, manage stakeholders and ensure compliance with MDLZ policies.

• University degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 5+ years of progress finance experience in FMCG preferred.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of consumer goods markets.
• Proven analytical ability and capability to translate data into decision-ready insights.
• Independent, self-directed with ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with senior leaders.
