Cashier / Accounts Officer

About this role

The Cashier / Accounts Officer role at Cedar Grillz & Lounge in Abuja reports to the General Manager. It acts as the venue's financial gatekeeper, handling payments, maintaining cash controls and records, and supporting daily sales reporting and management accounts.

What you would do

• Operate the POS and process cash, card, transfer and mobile payments accurately.
• Reconcile POS totals, cash, transfers and card settlements each shift.
• Record sales, expenses, supplier invoices and payments in the accounting system.
• Manage petty cash and deposits for events and bookings.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales and financial reports.
• Support payroll, tax compliance and internal financial controls.

What they are asking for

• OND or HND in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2-4 years' experience in cashiering, accounts or bookkeeping (restaurant, hotel, lounge or high-volume retail preferred).
• Strong POS, Excel/Google Sheets and basic accounting software skills; solid knowledge of cash controls, reconciliations and basic Nigerian tax requirements.
• Impeccable honesty and integrity (verifiable references required).
• Minimum age 21 and smart, professional appearance.
