About this role
The Dorothy Njemanze Foundation (DNF) in Abuja is seeking a full-time Case Manager who understands sexual and gender-based violence and works in a survivor-centred way. The role involves supporting survivors, guiding them through medical, psychosocial, legal, shelter and other services, and coordinating referrals while maintaining confidential case files. The position reports to the Head of Department and Management and requires experience in case management and GBV response, with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. DNF is a survivor-run feminist organisation working on gender justice, survivor support, prevention, policy advocacy and storytelling in Nigeria. The organisation aims to ensure women and girls are safe, heard and supported, while preventing violence.
What you would do
- Provide compassionate survivor support and involve survivors in care decisions
- Guide survivors through access to medical, psychosocial, legal, shelter and other services
- Monitor case progress and maintain regular contact to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate, confidential case files and provide real-time reports per procedures
- Collaborate with law enforcement, survivor-centred institutions and community stakeholders
- Support GBV prevention, community sensitisation and initiatives promoting survivors' rights and access to justice
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Gender Studies, Law or a related field
- At least two years of relevant experience in case management, GBV response, protection or psychosocial support
- Experience supporting survivors of sexual and gender-based violence and other vulnerable populations
- Knowledge of survivor-centred approaches, safeguarding, confidentiality and trauma-informed care
- Experience coordinating referrals to medical, legal, psychosocial and other support services
- Strong documentation, report-writing, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive cases with empathy, professionalism, discretion and sound judgment
