Business Intelligence Data and Reporting Specialist
About this role
AIBT in Lagos is looking for a highly analytical Business Intelligence, Data and Reporting Specialist. The role focuses on turning raw data into actionable insights to support strategic planning, operational efficiency, and informed decision making. The candidate will collect, analyse, interpret and visualise data from multiple sources, build interactive dashboards and reports, and ensure data accuracy and integrity. Experience with BI tools, data analysis, reporting automation, and data visualisation is required, with the ability to communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
What you would do
- Extract, clean, validate and analyse data from multiple systems and databases.
- Design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards, management reports and scorecards.
- Use BI tools (eg Power BI, Tableau) to present actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries, data models and reporting datasets.
- Monitor KPIs, identify trends and highlight gaps, risks and opportunities.
- Automate recurring reports and data processing tasks.
- Collaborate with management to gather reporting requirements and translate them into solutions.
- Integrate data from different sources and ensure consistency across reports.
- Perform data quality checks and address discrepancies to improve accuracy.
- Prepare periodic operational, financial and management reports for planning and performance monitoring.

- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, IT, Business Analytics, Economics or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in BI, data analytics, or reporting.
- Experience building and maintaining dashboards and reporting tools.
- Practical experience with SQL, Excel and at least one BI/data visualization platform (Power BI, Tableau, etc).
- Experience working with multiple data sources and reporting automation.
- Ability to translate business requirements into reliable, actionable insights.
- Experience collaborating with management and cross-functional teams.
- Strong data analysis, BI and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication skills to present to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple requests, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
