Business Intelligence Associate
About this role
A Business Intelligence Associate at First Bank Lagos site to analyse large datasets, identify process improvements and support operational resilience. Suitable for professionals with extensive BI and analytics experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
What you would do
- Analyse large and complex datasets related to operations and customer journeys.
- Identify trends, bottlenecks and opportunities for automation and improvement.
- Produce actionable recommendations to boost productivity, cut costs, and enhance service.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau or Qlik).
- Create clear visualisations for executives and operational stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Retail, Commercial, Technology, Operations and Risk teams to translate requirements into analytical solutions.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance or related field.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, R and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau or Qlik).
- At least 5 years of relevant BI, analytics or operational consulting experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
- Track record of delivering operational insights and process improvements in large organisations.
- Experience with data extraction, modelling and visualization tools.
- Experience or background in African banking institutions is highly preferred.
