Business Developments Manager – CASE & Construction
About this role
The Business Development Manager for CASE & Construction will drive growth of SOLEVO's specialty chemicals portfolio for CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers) and construction applications. It combines technical expertise with business development to build supplier and customer partnerships and deliver commercial results. Based in Lagos, the role targets professionals with experience in specialty chemicals and business development.
What you would do
- Develop and expand the CASE and construction chemicals portfolio.
- Identify gaps in the portfolio and introduce new products, suppliers and market opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with principals and suppliers.
- Coordinate new product launches, commercialization plans and technical training programmes.
- Engage customer R&D, procurement, production, quality and management teams to propose technical solutions and manage trials.
- Deliver sales, gross margin and business growth targets, manage pricing, profitability and maintain the CRM pipeline.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science, Industrial Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in specialty chemicals, CASE, construction chemicals or chemical distribution.
- Proven track record in business development, supplier management and key account management.
- Experience managing technical-commercial projects and a portfolio of specialty chemicals.
- Strong consultative selling and solution-oriented customer engagement skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, forecasting, pipeline management and business reporting.
