Business Development Officer

About this role

A full‑time Business Development Officer role based in Ilorin, Kwara, focusing on acquiring and growing customers for Grocery Box through online and offline channels. The position targets driving revenue, managing customer relationships, and expanding business opportunities for a Pan-African IT services firm’s product line.

What you would do

• Generate and convert sales leads into paying customers.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing customers to drive repeat purchases.
• Conduct market visits to assess customer needs, competitors and pricing.
• Identify, prospect and acquire new customers through direct sales, referrals and field activities.
• Follow up on leads and quotations to achieve conversions.
• Prepare regular sales reports on revenue, leads, conversions and pipeline.

• BSc or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• 2–3 years of proven sales or business development experience in FMCG, retail, distribution or related industry.
• Target-driven with strong commercial mindset.

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and sales reporting tools.
