About this role

A GovTech-focused company is hiring a Business Development Manager to generate government sector opportunities, manage stakeholder relationships and drive adoption of technology solutions across federal and state institutions. The role targets candidates with proven government technology sales experience and a track record in strategic account development and high-value contracts. Location is Abuja, Nigeria.

What you would do

• Identify opportunities across federal and state government institutions and related agencies.
• Develop account-specific revenue plans and achieve targets.
• Manage the full business development cycle from prospecting to contract award.
• Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified technology opportunities.
• Coordinate executive engagements, client presentations and demonstrations.
• Support proposal development and commercial negotiations with internal teams.

• Minimum of five years of experience in business development, enterprise sales or strategic account management with government exposure.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT, Engineering, Economics or related field.
• Strong relationship management, negotiation, presentation and consultative selling skills.
• Experience selling technology, enterprise software, ICT infrastructure or digital transformation services.
• Experience using CRM systems and preparing sales forecasts and reports.
• Willingness to travel for client engagements.
