Business Development Manager – Electronics

About this role

Whip Smart Service Providers Limited is seeking a Business Development Manager for the electronics division in Lagos. The role focuses on driving revenue, gross profit and market growth by developing corporate and B2B accounts and strengthening relationships with electronics brands, distributors and major buyers. The position reports to the Head of Business.

What you would do

• Develop and implement strategies for growing the electronics category
• Identify new markets, customer segments, sales channels, and revenue opportunities
• Build and manage a strong B2B sales pipeline and secure corporate and institutional accounts
• Negotiate pricing, terms, rebates, and support with electronics brands, distributors, and major buyers
• Establish and sustain relationships with procurement managers, facility managers, project managers, and senior decision-makers
• Collaborate with Marketing, Procurement, Finance, Retail, and Operations to achieve business objectives

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or related field
• MBA or professional qualification is an advantage
• 5-8 years' experience in business development, sales, consumer electronics, home appliances, retail, distribution, or FMCG sectors
• Proven track record of achieving revenue and gross-profit targets and managing key B2B accounts
• Experience with major electronics brands and distributors
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and relationship-building skills; proficiency in Excel, CRM, and reporting tools
