Business Development Manager (Downstream Oil & Gas Sector)
About this role
A Business Development Manager with experience in the downstream oil and gas sector is sought to drive commercial growth in Northern Nigeria, focusing on opportunities in the downstream space. The role targets building relationships, expanding the customer base and increasing revenue across the region for iRecruiters Africa Limited.
What you would do
- Develop and implement business development strategies for the Northern region
- Identify and pursue new opportunities within the downstream oil and gas sector
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective customers, distributors and strategic partners
- Generate and convert a strong pipeline of opportunities
- Prepare commercial proposals and negotiate terms with clients
- Track activity, sales, revenue, and pipeline; report on market and commercial performance

- Bachelor's degree in Business Admin, Marketing, Economics, Engineering or related field
- Minimum 7 years in business development, sales or commercial roles with strong downstream oil and gas experience
- Understanding of petroleum products, commercial fuel sales and distribution
- Established networks across Northern Nigeria (advantage)
- Proven ability to identify and convert new opportunities
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills
