Business Development Manager
About this role
Role: Business Development Manager for DAG Industries Nigeria Limited in Lagos. The job involves identifying and converting new business opportunities, developing strategic accounts, and expanding dealer and channel networks to drive sales of Bajaj two-wheelers, with a focus on 3-wheelers in the assigned market.
What you would do
- Develop and manage a robust pipeline of new business opportunities with emphasis on 3-wheeler sales.
- Identify and secure fleet operators, transport companies, cooperatives and other high-volume users.
- Build and maintain relationships with transport unions, park chairmen, Keke associations and rider groups.
- Develop and manage dealers, sub-dealers and strategic channel partners.
- Map markets to identify new territories and opportunities.
- Convert qualified leads into sales by collaborating with Territory Sales Officers and Area Sales Managers.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Management or related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Business Development or Sales, preferably in automotive, motorcycle, tricycle, FMCG, distribution or mobility sectors.
- Proven experience selling 3-wheelers (tricycle/Keke) is mandatory.
- Experience in fleet sales, B2B sales, dealer development, institutional sales or transport-sector business development is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of markets, negotiation, relationship management and business development skills.
- Ability to build and convert a sales pipeline and consistently achieve targets, with willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
