Business Development Executive (Laboratory)

About this role

A full-time Business Development Executive for laboratory services based in Ikeja, Lagos. The role focuses on sales, client relationship management and developing new business for laboratory testing and analysis services.

What you would do

• Understand client testing requirements and recommend appropriate laboratory services
• Develop and convert new business opportunities and maintain a strong sales pipeline
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients
• Drive customer retention, account growth, cross-selling and upselling
• Prepare and negotiate quotations, proposals, contracts and commercial terms
• Conduct market research, identify new sectors and work with technical teams to develop client solutions

• Bachelor’s Degree (minimum of Second Class Upper) in a relevant science field
• 3–5 years of proven experience in business development, technical sales, laboratory services or related roles
• Track record in customer acquisition, negotiation, account management and retention
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques and analytical methods; familiarity with HPLC, GC/GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, AAS, ICP-OES/ICP-MS, UV-Vis or related testing
• Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to document and report effectively
