Business Development Executive
About this role
The Business Development Executive (B2B) at Scalein will drive sales growth and expand the company’s market presence across Nigeria’s oil & gas, energy, manufacturing and construction sectors. The role focuses on expertise in PPE and industrial footwear, building distributor partnerships and engaging both major and minor oil & gas servicing companies, with travel and weekend work as needed.
What you would do
- Identify and acquire clients in target sectors, including minor oil & gas servicing firms purchasing small quantities
- Develop and implement sales strategies targeting PETAN-listed companies and direct sales
- Research major oil & gas projects using imported safety boots to promote locally manufactured PPE and local content policy
- Establish and manage a network of distributors to broaden product penetration and ensure market execution
- Negotiate and close deals to meet revenue targets, including pricing and terms with finance
- Attend industry events and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to generate opportunities and stay informed

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field
- Minimum of 5 years' B2B sales experience, preferably PPE, manufacturing, oil & gas or industrial equipment
- Strong industry network with access to key players in target industries
- Proven track record in identifying and securing high-value business opportunities
- Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills
- Willingness to travel and work on weekends when required
