Business Consultant
About this role
Ren San & Co, a boutique management and business support firm in Abuja, is looking for a Junior Account Associate who will support the development and delivery of consulting engagements across sectors. The role involves researching, producing consulting documents and reports, preparing proposals and project frameworks, and supporting client projects and stakeholder engagements. The role requires an organised professional who can turn research into actionable recommendations and high-quality deliverables. The firm emphasises strategic thinking, effective communication, and professional client-facing output.
What you would do
- Conduct market, industry, policy, regulatory, and competitor research
- Gather, analyse and interpret qualitative and quantitative data
- Develop research reports, briefing notes and insight papers
- Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities for client projects
- Conduct stakeholder mapping and environmental scans for assignments
- Support needs assessments, organisational assessments and business diagnostics
- Assist in planning and execution of consulting engagements
- Participate in client meetings, discovery sessions, workshops and consultations
- Develop recommendations based on research findings
- Support design and implementation of business improvement initiatives
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration, Management, Social Sciences, International Development, Law, Finance or related field
- Master's degree is an added advantage
- Relevant professional certifications are advantageous
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in consulting, advisory services, or related fields
- Experience developing consulting deliverables such as concept notes, proposals, strategic plans, research reports, feasibility studies, policy documents, organisational manuals, or project reports
- Experience working with private sector organisations, NGOs, foundations, development organisations, government institutions, or consulting firms preferred
