Bookstore Assistant

About this role

A position for a friendly, organised Bookstore Assistant to support daily operations at the Kano store, assist customers, manage stock and help achieve sales targets. The role is suitable for candidates with retail or customer service experience who are based in Kano or can commute reliably.

What you would do

• Welcome customers and provide book recommendations
• Respond to customer enquiries professionally
• Process sales using payment and POS systems
• Arrange books and maintain displays
• Receive, label, shelve and monitor stock
• Support stock counts and inventory reconciliation

• HND or bachelor’s degree
• Completion of NYSC programme
• Previous experience in retail, sales, customer service, or a bookstore (advantage)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer literacy and attention to detail
