About this role
Beacon Power Services in Lagos is seeking a Bilingual (French/English) Manager or Senior Manager in Product Management. The role involves owning and scaling the product strategy for the software portfolio, defining long-term vision, roadmaps, and ensuring product-market fit. You will translate market insights into a strategic plan and work with Engineering, Commercial, Strategy, and Operations to deliver value, scalability, and differentiation. The position focuses on shaping product direction, not just backlog tasks, and requires leadership across cross-functional teams in a hybrid work setup. The company has been developing energy management software and analytics in Nigeria since 2010.
What you would do
- Define and own the product vision, strategy, and annual roadmap aligned with growth goals.
- Drive product-market fit through market research, customer engagement, and competitive intelligence.
- Make prioritisation decisions balancing value, commercial returns, scalability, and feasibility.
- Ensure alignment between product strategy, revenue targets and operational capacity.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Commercial and Operations to deliver releases.
- Oversee backlog governance, release planning, and execution discipline.
- Ensure product documentation and specifications meet enterprise standards.
- Drive delivery timelines, quality and measurable business outcomes.
- Partner with Commercial teams to strengthen positioning and go-to-market strategies.
- Define and track product KPIs, OKRs and value-realisation metrics.

- Experience in product management within SaaS, enterprise software or complex technology with portfolio ownership.
- Ability to define product strategy and multi-quarter roadmaps aligned with growth objectives.
- Strong command of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and cross-functional execution.
- Experience turning market needs into structured strategic requirements and backlogs.
- Data-driven decision-maker with ability to use analytics to guide trade-offs.
- Technical fluency to engage with Engineering leadership and challenge architecture when needed.
- Fluency in French.
