Bid & Tender Officer
About this role
DATI is seeking a detail‑oriented Bid and Tender Officer to support business expansion. The role involves managing the end-to-end tendering process, monitoring e‑procurement portals such as NipeX and NAPIMS, coordinating inputs from multiple internal teams, and preparing compliant RFQ/RFP/EOI submissions. The officer will maintain the sales pipeline and track clarification requests, win/loss outcomes, and contract handovers. The position targets candidates with prior bid writing and tender experience in engineering, law, business administration, or related fields. The organisation operates as a training and consultancy institute serving government agencies, organisations and industries including oil and gas, manufacturing, energy and education.
What you would do
- Monitor tendering platforms daily for relevant opportunities
- Develop bid compliance matrices and write technical and commercial proposals
- Coordinate with Training, Finance, Operations, HSE, Legal and HR for inputs
- Acquire and maintain compliance documentation and ensure error-free submissions
- Manage client clarifications and track bid outcomes
- Maintain and update the CRM sales pipeline and post‑bid activities
- Support contract handovers and renewal date tracking
- Ensure submissions meet deadlines and compliance requirements
- Assist in cost estimation and pricing structures as part of bids
- Prepare post-bid documentation and facilitate procurement processes

- Bachelor's degree (2:1) or HND upper credit in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical/commercial bid writing and RFQ/RFP work
- Experience with NipeX, NAPIMS or public/private sector tenders
- Proficiency in bid compliance matrices, cost estimation, and e-procurement portals
- Strong technical writing, document control and CRM/sales pipeline skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Meticulous with strict submission deadlines and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate across multiple functional teams
- Analytical mindset for evaluating bid viability and market intelligence
- Clear, persuasive writing to translate capabilities into proposals
