BI - Business Intelligence Analyst

About this role

FairMoney is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst in Lagos to drive data-led decision-making across its lending business. The role involves turning complex data into actionable insights to improve credit performance, optimise collections, enhance customer experience, and support rapid, profitable growth in Nigeria's fintech market.

What you would do

• Analyse large datasets across the lending lifecycle to identify trends, risks and opportunities that affect performance.
• Build and maintain real-time dashboards and automate recurring reports for daily, weekly and monthly tracking.
• Support development and monitoring of credit scoring models using alternative data and track portfolio health metrics.
• Analyse repayment behaviour and optimise collections strategies; build segmentation models for different borrower types.
• Partner with Product teams to track user journeys and run A/B tests to improve acquisition, engagement and repayment rates.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to improve data pipelines and automate reporting processes.

What they are asking for

• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or similar role, preferably in fintech, banking or lending.
• Strong SQL skills (mandatory) and experience with Python or R (preferred).
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
• Strong understanding of lending metrics (PAR, NPL, roll rates, recovery rates).
• Ability to translate data into clear business insights and recommendations.
• Experience working with large, complex datasets.
