Bartender / Mixologist
About this role
A hospitality company in Abuja is hiring a Bartender / Mixologist on a full-time basis. The role focuses on managing bar operations, preparing a range of beverages, and creating signature drinks with attention to presentation, hygiene and quality. The successful candidate is expected to work independently with minimal supervision and take responsibility for day-to-day bar activities. The employer provides accommodation.
What you would do
- Oversee daily bar operations across main bar, service bar, lounge counters and back-bar displays
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages including cocktails, wines, beers, champagnes and non-alcoholic drinks
- Develop original signature cocktails and seasonal drink menus
- Prepare and maintain house-made syrups, infusions, bitters, fresh juices and garnishes
- Document recipes for consistency in flavour, measurements and portions
- Adhere to approved recipes, portion controls and service standards
- Welcome guests, take orders, explain options and recommend drinks
- Operate, clean and maintain bar equipment and POS terminals
- Wash, sanitise and hand-polish glassware and bar tools
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and safety in the bar area

- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
